Dr. Rita Erika Schulz, MD

I have been a patient for 14 years ever since i had my 1st son and had a bad experience with a pediatrician. Now after having another baby and moving back from Chicago we are excited to be able to see Dr. Schultz again. Another plus is her staff is efficient and detailed. I’ve never had a problem getting a same day appointment or any billing issues.

I have been seeing Dr.Schultz for over 13 yrs. She is the best doctor. Takes time to answer all your questions, she is great!

I was Dr. Schulz' patient for a number of years. During that time she prescribed anti inflammatory medication (Mobic) that is only a temporary drug for close to 5 years. This is most likely the cause of the protein in my urine that she found showing up at least 2 years before I switched doctors. I did that because I was misdiagnosed with "what was going around" when I actually had pneumonia. During the course of 3 weeks I called and spoke to her quite frequently about my cough, fever (that did not respond to antibiotics) and body aching. I questioned if it could be pneumonia and was told "no", to just "hang in there". After 3 weeks my husband took me to the ER where they immediately did a CXR finding the pneumonia. I requested one of these but was told by Dr. Schulz I did not need one. Now, 4 years later I have to see a nephrologist for the protein problem. I also have a new doctor.

If it wasn't for Dr Schulz I really don't think my husband would be here today. She knows him well, so after examining him she found that something wasn't 'quite right', but she knew he wouldn't come back again (typical guy!) so she had radiology stay that day and do a CAT scan right away. They found 2 tumors! After the CAT, the office was already closed and dark, but she wanted him to know right away so she waited for him. We didn't know what to do but he wanted it out right away! She called us the next morning at 9 am and said we had an appointment at 10 with a recommended surgeon. We went and 6 days later he had 2 cancerous tumors out. He went through 13 months of chemo. He is here today because Dr Schulz was aggressive in her assessment of my husband. Thank you Dr Schulz!!
