Dr. Rita Coleen Stice, MD

Breast reduction had terrible results: nipples are way too high; breasts are smaller than they should be & very uneven; back flab pockets should not be there. I would never recommend her for a breast reduction. I should have made her redo them but I've been through enough.

This review is based on our experience with Dr. Stice. We used her for two separate things, simultaneously. We used her for a two scar removals on two separate people. The first scar looks much worse than it did before. It is at least 100% more noticeable now than it was before the operation. I could get over this, but the second part is much more difficult to accept. The second scar removal went well overall, but she really did not treat us fairly. We met her to get a quote on a surgery for a lawsuit settlement from a scar caused by a dog bite. We asked her to evaluate the scar and draft a professional letter documenting the approximate cost of the surgery. She said she would charge us $350 as a professional fee for this letter. Her letter was very unprofessional as it was not on letterhead, nor was it signed. She said the surgery would cost ~10K. This amount was immediately added to our lawsuit settlement. When it came time to perform the surgery, it cost over 20K. There were no… complications. Once I received the bills, I saw the surgery codes. I reached out to the hospital and they said the average cost of surgery for those codes was ~17K. There is an online tool at Lakeside hospital that allows anyone to punch in a surgery code and get the average cost. I also reached out to the anesthesiologist for a quote. In my living room, only armed with the surgery codes, I was able to get a quote for almost 20K. As a professional, Dr. Stice was the only person who knew what surgery codes she would use. I couldn't possibly know this until the surgery was completed. That's why she deserves the $350 professional fee. Surgery codes are basically "proprietary information" in the medical world. She failed to put forth a moderate effort to assemble an accurate quote. As a result, she cost my daughter ~10K in a lawsuit settlement - and took $350 from her for the pleasure of doing so. We tried to take her to small claims court, but her lawyers bumped the case up to district court. We cannot risk thousands of dollars for lawyers for the possible gain of ~10K, so I guess this is just a case where we have to suck it up. Our collective experience with this doctor is poor. I would highly recommend avoiding this doctor.

I’ve been seen by many doctors over the years. Dr. Stice is not only an amazing surgeon but she has a great bedside manner and I felt very confident in her hands. I would highly recommend her for any procedure that you might be considering that falls within her area of expertise.

Dr. Stice did not follow through with how she stated my surgery would go, she basically lied to me and I am now worse than I was before surgery.

I had a bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer, and Dr. Stice did a fantastic job in the initial surgery for my temporary implants and the exchange for my permanent implants. She had a wonderful and compassionate bedside manner and always answered the questions posed by my husband and me. Her office is very friendly and easy to work with. I hope I don't need more work in the future, but if I do, she would be my first stop.

I would highly recommend Dr. Stice to anyone. I met with countless surgeons prior to my lift and augmentation in another state, and was never happy with my severe scarring. Over the next 10 years, I met with other surgeons in several states about fixing the scars. I ultimately decided to remove my implants when I moved to Omaha, and I'm so lucky to have found Dr. Stice. I simply searched for "board certified" surgeons, and found her resume impressive. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable or try to "sell" me another service. She did the explantation surgery and it went perfectly! The best news is, I looked much better without the implants (which is saying a lot after nursing two kids in the previous 8 years). I won't think twice about returning to her for any other service!

My first experience with Dr. Stice was 20 years ago when I needed a bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy. When other doctors wouldnâ??t listen to me, Dr. Stice took the time to listen and fill in any blanks that I hadnâ??t thought about. She was kind and very informative. I chose to use her as my plastic surgeon. Recently when I needed some revision work done I didnâ??t hesitate to use Dr. Stice again. At my appointment she explained what could and couldnâ??t be done and what results she was aiming for. She came and talked to me before and after the surgery she was very patient and took the time to explain and answer all of my questions. I am very happy with my results. Dr. Stice and her staff are wonderful!

I had a breast reduction by Dr. Stice ten years ago. I am still very happy with the results. I am considering having some liposuction and will go first to Dr. Stice.

I was attacked by a dog and had severe facial damage. Luckily, Dr Stice was on call that night. This was actually 19 yrs ago. At the time, I was a young girl terrified I would be scarred for life. Dr Stice did such a wonderful job that no one can tell I was ever attacked. She had such a good bedside manner and talked me through the whole experience. I will always be grateful for what she did. Today, I saw Dr Stice's name in a random place and thought I should share my experience from so many years ago.

I had surgery on lipomas and endedup with a failed muscle flap that hasweakened my hip and am still in painone year later. She does not want todo only one follow up, and your on yourown. Stay away from this group.
