Dr. was very patient and took the time to explain test results. I truly felt very comfortable with this doctor.

The first time I saw Dr.RItu,she's pretty nice and shows concern for her patients.Her attitude is very pleasent,. I truly would recommend her to other people ,which I have .

I was a patient of Bowie Internal Medicine. Every year, I when I would get my well woman exam, my care give would check for a stool sample. One year, I asked " What are you looking for?", and she informed me that she was looking for blood. Apparently people my age start having digestive complications that lead to conditions like diverticulitis, colitis, etc. Fast forward... I'm currently in the military. I noticed that every time I had to run for the military, I would vomit. I talked to my care giver about this, and she recommended that I go see the staff gastroenterologist because my issue wasn't normal. I made an appointment with Dr Sachdev and she was VERY dismissive. She told me the condition was related and that I basically needed to stop acting like a baby. Fast forward again. I am still having issues with vomiting, only now, I have blood in my stool EVERY time I use the bathroom. THIS ISN'T IN MY HEAD, and this definitely isn't normal. I made another appointment with Dr. Sachdev… to address my concerns, reminding her of my vomiting issue. NOW, she decided we may need to take a look at things. After performing an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, she diagnosed me as having esphagitis and and proctitis. She prescribed a suppository and pepcid and basically sent me on my way. She told me that I wasn't a risk for cancer and that I didn't need to have another colonoscopy until I'm 40. I was 32 at the time. Since then, I have had consistent bleeding. On my own, I researched that I needed to make changes to my diet. She never advised me of anything of the sort. She never recommended a follow up, or even bothered to check to see how things were progressing. I am seeking a second opinion. I only hope that the lack of care to my condition did not evolve into something more serious like UC, which my research has lead me to believe is a definite possibility is proctitis is left untreated. Beware!!!

The office is not reliable and will try to confirm the apt. that day of. They called my a few hours before my apt but I was at work and do not keep my cell phone on me. because I didn't answer right then they cancelled my apt and would not take me that day. I work in dc so I drove and paid for parking to get to the apt on time. this office was like we we will make sure to see you tomorrow. I guess they assume I can take of multiple days of work for an apt. I don't care if shes a good doctor. I need a reliable one that I can count on.

Dr. Sachdev was very nice at my visit. She took her time to examine me and ask questions about my diet and lifestyle that may be causing my stomach pain. After a few tests and changing my habits, I am feeling great. I can not thank her enough.

I dislike having to wait an hour to see the doctor. I find it to be inconsiderate of patients' time. If my appointment is for a certain time, I expect to be seen by the doctor within 15 minutes. I do find the doctor to be very thorough and pleasant. I have had several procedures performed by her and they both went well.

I would recommend her to my family and friends. She talked to me in terms I understood, gave me a copy of results so I could review them later, and acted like I was the only patient she had for the day. She gets to the bottom of what is wrong. Doesn't assume.

I have been to other gastro doctors and the office was not friendly and the wait time was always at least 30 minutes or more. Dr. Sachdev is so friendly and listens to eveything you tell her. The nurses and staff were very friendly. Very nice atmostphere. Highly recommend this practice!
