Dr. Rizwan Mufti, MD

Dr Rizwan M Mufti is a drug dealer.

A lot of bad reviews on here but I found him easy to work with. I have had anxiety issues for many years which are easily controlled with very small amounts of medication. Initially he assisted me with methods of trying to control the anxiety without meds but ultimately wrote a script. He has always listened to me. By the way, one of the posters nailed him because her husband had already been diagnosed at mcclean hospital. It is noteworthy that Dr Mufti has been the medical director of that hospital for a couple of years.

If you have a variety of symptoms of this and that, and it's unclear what the exact state of your mental health is - do NOT go to Dr. Mufti. He's a pill-pusher for those who have past-paperwork; shows little compassion and hard to come to the middle with what works and what doesn't work. You as a patient have little input.

This is a good doctor if you know your diagnosis and can tell him what you need you can just be on your way. If you do not know your diagnosis or what is good for your condition this is not the doctor for you .

This doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine. My husband was seeing him for bi-polar disorder, (diagnosed by a doctor at MacLean Hospital 4 years ago) Dr. Mufti gave him the wrong combination of drugs - too high a dose of anti-depressents and it actually caused a severe manic episode. When I placed an emergency phone call to his office he had his assistant; a woman with NO medical experience call us back. She totally dismissed his symptoms and told us we needed marriage counseling. My husband went into full blown mania causing significant emotional and financial damage to our lives which we are still trying to recover from. Stay away from this man, he needs his medical license revoked.

All he does is write a prescription and then you are out the door. Don't think about asking him any questions about the drugs he puts you on, or be prepared to be talked down to. If you just need someone to scibble out a script for you, then he's your guy. If you want someone exhibiting any type of compassion for his patients, or willing to treat you with respect, look elsewhere.

I waited a couple of weeks to see Dr Mufti and it was a complete waste of my time. I spent more time filling out paperwork than i did talking with him. I talked with him for literally 5 minutes all he did was check of my symptoms on his computer then ask me what medication I wanted? How should I know your the Doctor? I will never go back to Boston Health Care in Walpole ever again. This guy is a jerk and doesn't listen to anything you say. I would have given 0 stars if I could have.
