Robb Whinney, DO, FACOS, FACS

Dr. Whinney spoke to my husband, rather than me (the patient) and acted as though I were a small child or a dementia patient. I am neither of those, I am a licensed medical profession with full mental capacity and I was insulted. Looking at my spouse: "She will be having ---- done today and this is what she can expect post-procedure." Hurried demeanor. Never came into recovery to talk to me about the outcome, I was only given a sheet of paper without my name on it and the medical attendant just said, "you're ok" I asked for a glass of water and was told that I could get some from the snack bar on the way through the lobby. No one went over the results with me, no explanation given, photos were not explained. I cannot give this physician a good rating. There are other doctors out there.

Dr Whinney really cared about his patients and their families, I have never met a doctor who will spend the time, sometimes even when he was not on duty who would take his time to meet us at the ER. What a loss to Mercy Hospital that he left. No will ever take his place. Mercy lost my family as patients for ever.

Very helpful, could not have been kinder.

If Dr. Whinney was more interested in being a Dr. instead of his social life he may improve. Not a professional that I would want working on me.

Dr. Whinney was so unprofessional and in a hurry that I really wanted to just walk out. He acted like I was 2nd class and a waste of his time. I fear for this hospital.
