 Dr. Okamoto grew up in Pasadena an attended Jackson Elementary, Washington Junior High and John Muir High Schools. He started off his college career at Pasadena Community College and finished his undergraduate degree at University of Southern California (USC). He went on to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After earning his degree, Dr. Okamoto joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Dix Army base during the Vietnam Conflict 1969-1971. Dr. Okamoto has been married for 43 years to Arlene and they have two sons: Scott (married to Geri) and Brian (married to Miyuki). They also have five beautiful grandchildren: Ethan (11), Audrey (9), Owen (4), Emily (7), and Allen (3). Dr. Okamoto has been an active member of Lake Avenue Church since 1976. He was a Bible Study Fellowship discussion leader for 8 years and has been on the Ministry …Council. He is a Board member of Salvation Army and Walter Hoving Home. When not at work, Dr. Okamoto enjoys golfing, fly-fishing and tuna fishing.
