For me, there is a special gratification that comes with being a surgeon. Being a surgeon requires clinical knowledge and technical skill. While I certainly take pride in that, I believe it’s the emotional connection with patients that elevates surgery from a science to an art. I am well aware that surgery is among the most stressful experiences of a patient’s life. In my practice, I seek to address both the physical and emotional well-being of my patients and strive to provide a compassionate and caring environment for their surgical care. I view my life as a journey of both personal and professional development. Just as I stay up-to-date on the latest surgical innovations such as minimally invasive techniques and improved pain control, I also seek to develop personally. Living overseas as the child of a …U.S. Foreign Service Officer has left me with an insatiable appetite for travel and I continue to see as much of the world as I can, as often as I can. I am an avid photographer and enjoy wood working projects. Above all, I value immensely the time I spend with my family; my wife Liz, and our three children Matt, Nick and Chris.

Dr Ahmed saved my life 32 years ago and he is excellent as a Surgen and he listens to the patient. Hopefully I will not need anymore surgery but he will be the only surgeon to do it. Great Dr. A ten star Dr

Absolutely loved Dr. Ahmed and the nurse practitioner. I was going to a different General Surgeon but wanted a second opinion. After this visit, I canceled my appointment with my original doctor and will be coming here to continue treatment.

Dr. Ahmed is wonderful--not just a terrific surgeon, but a kind, thoughtful human being. He actually called me the day after my surgery just to see how I was doing. He explained my condition and everything about the procedure to me, took the time to answer all my questions without ever making me feel rushed, and, to use a phrase popular today, "made me feel heard." His staff, too, are knowledgeable, professional, and kind (special thanks to Danielle and Gretchen). The office is also well organized--I had three appointments at different times of day and not once were they running late, even though plenty of patients were moving in and out, and I had plenty of time with Dr. Ahmed. When you're sick and in pain, it is so reassuring to know you're in competent, caring hands--hence the five stars!

Dr. Ahmed removed my gallbladder. Could not have been a better experience. Answered all my questions and provided wonderful follow-up. Highly recommend.

I had a large lipoma removed from my back and this was the first surgery I had experienced in 25 years. Could not have felt more comfortable as Dr. Ahmed has a comforting personality and great sense of humor which I appreciated. Two weeks since surgery, no problems and my scar is barely noticeable. I have a very difficult travel/work schedule and the office was able to accommodate me quickly and efficiently for all appointments which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend Dr. Ahmed!
