Dr. Robert Albergo, MD

Office must be totally disorganized. If you cant trust the DR.'s staff how can you trust the Dr.?

I took my 92 y.o. father, who has Alzheimer's, to Dr Albergo because of an epidermoid cyst on his back that had recently become painful. For some strange reason, Dr Albergo thought it would be a good idea to show my father the contents of the cyst. It was a bloody lump of tissue on gauze and i immediately let the doctor know that my father did not need to see that. If he is so well educated and experienced, I shouldn't have to tell him that. That wasn't my first negative experience with him.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Albergo and his staff for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, they've become mired in bureaucracy and dysfunction. It's not possible to call the office anymore; you're routed to a call center. Like all medical/dental offices, they now send you four email and three text confirmations, no matter how many times you confirm. On Friday, May 27, we got call 30 minutes before my son's appointment telling us his appointment was off. Like most medical providers these days, nobody works on Fridays. Of course, we still had received four email and three text confirmations, including one that morning advising us that there would be a no-show charge if we did not show up. Accountability is a two-way street. It's a shame. They used to provide good service. But now they insist you pay your co-pay/deductible before leaving and good luck if insurance comes back and you overpaid. You'll never see that money. It's all a shame. They used to be a great medical office.

Well He is real Profesional and the customer service very nice people

This is the 2nd office location I've been to of Advanced Dermatology. And believe me----the difference betwixt Palm Harbor and Tampa is night and day! Trust me----ALWAYS GO TO PALM HARBOR.....and be seen by Dr Robert Albergo. I was seen by a PA in Tampa office last year. Suffice it to say that appointment started shaky and rapidly declined. My "only issue" with Palm Harbor office was the extra long wait I had to endure. Over 45 minutes. Not acceptable. So office staff gets a 3 STAR rating at best. Dr. Albergo gets this 5 STAR rating on his merit, experience, decorum, and attitude. Wow! Great cred hanging on office walls---Notre Dame grad....University of Rochester School of Medicine....and best of all---member of "MENSA." Seldom do I see prestigious diplomas...but these schools have much higher respect level than many foreign schools. And you can google Mensa if need be. Safe to say "Dr. A" knows a thing or two about a thing or two! Very humble, timely (was in my room mere minutes… after nurse took vitals) and friendly. He asked me questions----listened and answered....all the while examining me thoroughly for any skin areas affected by that "mean ole Mr. Sol." (The sun.....) He found a few spots he froze off.....and the deftly removed a skin tag off my eyelid....which entailed a pain shot and a hot laser. Not the finest aroma.... Dr. Robert's attitudes and professional treatment would be enough to ensure my annual return....ADD in Notre Dame and Mensa and Bob's your uncle! MAKE CERTAIN you get there CORRECT office when dealing with Advanced Derm....gotta be Dr. Albergo. You'll thank me later! Be Blessed.

Dr. Albergo is the best. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed my condition right away and took care of it. He's also been very helpful in treating my father's precancerous skin lesions. He has a great sense of humor.

Have gone there on several occasions but nurse practitioners are used instead of the doctor. frequently . Last time the nurse practitioner did a horrible job removing a growth from my nose and I was left with considerable scarring..

Gary, the Nurse, tended to everything that needed to be done after the removal. Gary explained everything about the dressing and anything that could occur. Gary was so thorough that any question that we could have, was already answered by Gary. Now, I just have to await good news!! Did the people with lousy comments drink the coolaid?

This doctor is very rude. If you ask a question he treats you like you are an idiot for asking. He does not have any compassion for his patients. I would stay away from him. He should think about retiring .
