Dr. Robert C Allen, MD

I changed doctor after realizing ,DR. Allan simply lucking knowledge. I ve been treated with medication for 20+ years for an illness I have, seen few specialist during this period. I have to do blood test every 2-3 months to control amount of medication, depends on results lower down or increase medication. He told me to do blood test only ONCE a year! after results received I asked him what amount of medication I should take, he told me my blood test is normal and take SAME amount , didn't even bother to ask or verify what amount I take! all those questions I don't need to ask doctor, usually they tell me when I get the results. Plus to that, for another of issue I have, I asked him to me a medication to help with that issue. he prescribed me medication that completely opposite and does exactly what I am trying to relieve, nervousness; insomnia, hot flashes, anxiety etc..I asked him before he prescribed the medication what are the side effects, he told me ONLY stomach issues!… Good, I decided to check the side effects myself, so I refused that medication after what I found out. Please be aware of doctors like him, we put our life's in their hands.

Dr. Allen spends all the time I need. He checks my chart, asks questions, answers my questions and takes care of my problems as they arise. The staff sets my appointments and returns my calls in a timely manner.

I have been very pleased with Dr. R Christian Allen. He is very knowledgable, great communication skills and a very pleasant bedside manner. I'm able to discuss anything with him and he answers my questions.

As new residents in the Gold Canyon Area we were excited to see a family practice nearby. When I called to become new patients with this practice the office staff stated the following policy:Yes we take your primary insurance (United) but we would not be unable to see your child with a disability who also has a Secondary insurance through medicaid (even if we ONLY wanted them to bill our private insurance carrier)--This is a discriminatory practice excluding an individual that is eligible but then removing their eligiblity for services because their disability qualifies them for state services (that we were not even wanting them to use)
