Dr. Robert Antolak, DDS

The positive thing that I will say about Dr. Antolak is that he is a very gentle dentist, having said that here is the negative, I was completely misled by him and the lady who set up a payment plan for me. I had to get a root canal done, I had asked them how much would the TOTAL procedure cost, I specifically told them I don't want there to be any hidden fees/additional charges, I wanted to know the exact cost. They told me how much I owe and I agreed to it. Once he was done with the procedure, he said I was all set. A month later I received a bill stating I owe an additional $100, thank goodness I kept all the paper work. I went to the office, which was a waste of my time, I provided the paper work to show them that I didn't owe the $100 fee. They realized they made a mistake and told me to disregard the bill. A year later I went in for X-rays, cleaning, and a checkup, Dr. Antalok told me that I needed a crown to be placed over the tooth, I could not believe what I was hearing, I… thought he already placed the crown over my tooth, because he said I was " all set" the year before. He told me that the crown would be an additional charge, a very very expensive charge I might add. The reason that I am so upset is that he didn't include the cost of the crown along with the cost of the root canal, I made it crystal clear that I wanted to know the EXACT cost of the WHOLE PROCEDURE. The crown is part of the root canal procedure. He could have at least told me that the crown will be a separate charge. I am not the only person he misled. I've had root canals done by other dentists, every one of them included the crown in the cost of the root canal procedure because it is in fact part of the procedure.
