Dr. Robert Michael Arbuckle

Unnecessary dental work by Dr. Arbuckle cost approximately $3,000 (in out of pocket payments...after insurance). On my daughters first visit to Dr. Arbuckle she was rushed into making a decision regarding a root canal. The Dr. had basically already started so "rushed" is not even the right word. When you are on the dental seat and the dentist is saying you need a root canal, you don't really have any other choice. In any event, he started; he then calls me at work to "get permission" saying that he had to continue work immediately. With little choice, I agreed (what else is there to do...and I believe that this approach is done on purpose). She then had to get a crown and all of the other work associated with a root canal. The drilling that the doctor did was too large which caused problems with the crown that then resulted in the need of a screw. All of this, of course, costs money. EVERY dentist she has subsequently visited has asked her why she got a root canal when it was… unnecessary. I know that Dr. Arbuckle will reply that these decisions are subjective and open to professional disagreement. However, when four other dentists all say the same thing without being asked...something is not right. I strongly recommend not using this dentist. He is either unethical or doesn't know what he is doing.

Dr Arbuckle and I go way back. He has always been a great, fun-loving guy, but also has excellent dental skills. His sensitive and calm bed-side manner, sense of humor, and knowledgeable dental skills make him an amazing dentist.

From cleanings to repairs, Dr Arbuckle and his staff deliver good care with a reasonable approach. By that I mean when I've had problems (for example I cracked a front tooth) and feared the worst, he offered a reasonable solution that was painless and has held up great. He's my preferred Dentist.

Will never go there again. rude and inconsiderate and only about charging more $.

Makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience (if that's possible!)
