When patients say that Dr. Robert G. Ashley is the absolute best doctor in Gainesville, FL - they are very accurate. When you visit his office you are not treated like a number - you are a person in whom he takes a genuine interest. Ask yourself this question, the last time you had to wait in the waiting room, did the doctor apologize for the delay. Dr. Ashley does, which is a direct reflection of the care you will receive.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ashley's for over 20 years. Due to a change in insurance plans, I switched doctors once many years ago and that was so disastrous, I changed back and have never left since then, even when I had to pay out of pocket for my visits because my employer's insurance did not include a plan Dr Ashley accepts (and he accepts most of the major plans used in this area. These days all too many doctors don't give a hoot about their patients, the patient is a fee and nothing more. I hate dealing with such individuals and prefer a physician who practices medicine with an open heart and a mind dedicated to the health of his patients. Dr. Ashley also keeps up to date with the latest diagnosis and treatment technology. Moreover, he really listens to his patients and considers their input critically important. But when it all comes down to it and that door opens and the doctor walks in, I am happy it is Dr Ashley. He always has a ready smile and wants to know how I… have been. And because he listens to my responses, he knows what is and isn't important to me. I am a person to him. And when I leave the office after my appointment, if the visit was for more than a routine check up, the doctor will have developed a clear treatment plan for me which addresses my needs.
