Hi Doc, hope you are well. I wish I was back in IL., for one reason , to have you guys do my left hip replacement. Since you guys did such a fabulous job on my right hip back in 2015, I would consider coming back if not for my lung issues. Since moving back here in AZ. in 2019, after having some breathing problems, a lung biopsy determined I have Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and traveling is an issue but not unrealistic. I think of you often and thank you again for all your care and concerns. All my best !

Truly a sincere man that happens to be a great doctor. Doctors Robert and Paul gave me a complete right hip replacement back in 2015.They did a fabulous job as I was up and walking the hospital halls that same evening of the procedure.After watching the superpathsurgeons video several times, before and after surgery,it is truly amazing how well I felt afterwards. Since then my wife and I have moved to AZ. Now my other hip and left shoulder both need repairs and replacement.I may have to take an extended visit back home for service. Things are different here in AZ. I'll leave it at that.Hope all is well with Atkenson Orthopedics and thank you all on the team for getting me through the experience and making it just about trouble free. Jeff Brescia

This Dr is a HEAVEN SENT! He’s a caring Doctor . I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis 5 yrs ago by another doctor who told me that I was gonna be in a wheelchair on a year. Dr Atkenson assured me that his statement was false! He worked with me started a regimen for me that included physical therapy and here it is almost six years later and I’m still standing !

Dr. Atkenson performed the Super Path Surgery on my left hip 4 weeks ago. The recovery has been remarkable. I have been pain free for the first time in over a year and a half. I cannot say enough about this procedure and Dr. Atkenson. I highly recommend Dr. Atkenson to anyone who is considering hip surgery.

Dr. Atkenson did a terrific job in replacing my left hip. Pain from my arthritic joint was getting impossible to bear. Dr . Atkenson replaced the hip joint via Super Path technique and I was up and walking 4 hours s after surgery with no pain whatsoever. Dr Atkenson is a professional and very caring Doctor. His office staff is also great to work with.

I am so very pleased with the outcome of my Super Path Hip Replacement.The recovery has been quick and I am back to normal activities in a very short time. Dr. Atkenson is an excellent surgeon - takes time to answer all my questions and concerns. I am so thankful I decided to change doctors. Originally I was scheduled for the anterior approach with a different doctor. After hearing about Super Path with Dr Atkenson and knowing someone who had this procedure I chose to go this route. Dr Robert Atkenson has done 2 surgeries on me (meniscus & shoulder) both times I was pleasantly surprised at how good I felt the day after surgery. Recovery time was shorter than expected in both cases. He's very personable and explains things so us non-doctors can understand... Also the entire staff in the office is fantastic, very friendly, helpful with insurance, appointments, and all other dealings associated with your condition.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I went in to see Dr Robert Atkinson 4 years ago with bad pain in right knee. After talking with him he suggested a 5 week series of supartz shots. So I started shots and it was amazing results. I immediately felt the difference in knee. After the 3rd shot I was walking normal, bending, it's awesome. I just love Dr Robert. His soothing voice ,his demeanor, his way of making you feel you are his only patient . My husband has had 2 surgeries by him for shoulder and what a skilled surgeon. Within 2 weeks my hubby was all good and functional. Amazing. ....

Dr. Robert Atkenson is an amazing man. The way I describe him is you know you're going to like him as soon as he walks into the room. I have been a patient of his for 21 years. He's done arthoscopic surgery on my left shoulder, right knee and left knee (twice), he's done total knee replacement surgeries for both of my knee and I have been to him for a variety of other issues. I have referred him to other family members and friends. Who have been as equally please with his care.He is an amazing doctor and I trust him with my life.
