Dr. Robert Chad Atkins, MD

Robert Chad Atkins, MD is the Section Chief of the Surgical Hospitalist Service within the Division of Hospital Medicine and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He currently attends on the medical hospitalist service as well as the general inpatient service where he is involved in clinical supervision of residents. Atkins received his MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and trained in pediatrics at Childrens Hospital Oakland. His clinical interests are focused on pediatric asthma management and the medical management of surgical patients. He is the current chief of the Asthma High Impact Condition Group at Seattle Childrens. Atkins research interests include quality improvement under the surgical hospitalist model.
