Robert Baker

I went in for slight heart flutters. At the time, I had undiagnosed high blood pressure. I was put on a beta blocker. I was also given an echocardiogram, EKG, and a 24 hour heart monitor. All test results were normal except 6 very brief episodes (less than a second) of fast heart rates during the 24 hour heart monitor. I am a 68 year old woman. It is my understanding that my results are not unusual. Dr. Baker seemed to zero in on the glass of wine I have in the evening. Ignoring other explanations for the heart palpitations like high blood pressure. On my follow up visit, his first question was not "Have I had any more palpitations?" or "How is your blood pressure?" or simply "How are you feeling?" I would have answered no more palpitations, great blood pressure, and feel wonderful. Instead, his first question was "Did you give up alcohol?" Seriously! I am talking about a glass of wine. Then in his clinic notes, he said he discussed alcohol (not specifying it is a glass of… wine) with me. He said "the patient seems to understand. But I don't think she will give up alcohol." I found that last statement highly inappropriate and unprofessional. He has no insight into my future behavior. That is like telling a patient to lose weight then saying I don't think they will. I found Dr. Baker to be condescending and judgmental. I will be seeking care from another cardiologist.

Dr. Baker never explained my test results and tried to put me on medication without ever explaining WHY. He mumbled some things and never acknowledged us. I HOPE he develops heart issues soon and is treated as poorly as he treated us.

I have been a patient of Dr. Baker's for over four years. As a retired physician I especially appreciate his comprehensive approach to my complex life history of cardiac disease. Pair that to an efficient, friendly office staff and you have a winning combination for anyone!

I think Dr Baker is a great guy spends time with you I had to change insurance so I know longer have him Hope my new Dr is as good

Waiting time is unbareable, visit is usually unproductive due to missing blood work and no communication with other doctors involved.

Dr. Baker is a very caring, professional, and extremely knowledgeable physician. My husband and I are both patients and we are extremely pleased with the caress have received from him.

My fiance was sent to Dr. Baker by another cardiologist. We love Dr. Baker. There was some concern with my fiance needing a pacemaker/defibulator. He has been extremly helpful and calming through the whole thing. And happy to report so far, no pacemaker/defibulator.We highly recommend Dr. Baker. Espically for someone with extra concerns.
