I believe in miracles, because I believe in God. He led me to the wonderful, highly respected and Amazing Dr. Barone. He is a skilled surgeon that is rare today. When I first met him, his staff was at lunch, he waited for me, since I was to see him immediatlely following my MRI, and he weighed me, took my blood and got me situated in the exam area. I never had a Physician do this, he was humble and yet focused and steely. I followed his advice and as he predicted the Cancer had returned, this time more vigorous than before, It was stage 4 Appediceal Cancer, rare and the Physicians where I live, over 100 miles north, could not help me. No one had answers, I called everywhere before finding Dr. B, I prayed and I found his name mentioned on a blog. I called, had the examination I shared above. I'm here, two plus years later, I'm a walking miracle. He will never retire, because he cares about what he does. He chose this profession and he chose to treat this type of cancer, which almost… no one does. There is a reason for his life. To give people like me a chance at life. I'm a single mother, I have a teenage at home. I intend to see him grow into a man. And I intend to live my life....thank you Dr. Barone.

This guy is the real deal. He is the guy who INVENTED clearing out all cancer down to the centimeter. He is the most meticulous person I have ever met. He has spent as much as 24 hours on a case. He does the right thing for the patient and does not rush the job. I personally think he is one of the best physicians in the world. Super great guy. If I had cancer, I'd want him to do the surgery.

I first saw Dr. Barone Jan of this year. At first, I was not too happy with him, he seemed distant to me. But my other doctor knows him and he said he was the best one in his line of work, he is just a straight-forward kind of doctor. So, I agreed to have my surgery done by him, which was the best decision I've made. On the day of the surgery, everyone was telling me I got the best doctor, and I agree, he was very careful, caring and nice doctor to me before and after my surgery. I felt like it was my dad who did my surgery. I was surprised when I woke up after my mastectomy and not feel any pain. I stayed overnight and went home the following day (noontime) because I felt so good. He gave me pain meds prescription which I didn't even buy coz I don't need it. So I would highly recommend him to anybody. I feel closer to him now, and I asked him one time when he plans to retire, his answer - " I'll work as long as I can because I love what I'm doing." Great response I must… say!

Dr. Barone has always been extremely knowledgeable and personable. After spending 16 hours operating on my husband he then took well over an hour (at midnight no less) to explain things to myself and the family and make sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions. When my husband passed away, Dr. Barone personally called me and expressed his sympathy.

Staff was smiling and helpful; I was in a room within 10 minutes of completing paperwork; doctor was in the room two minutes after preliminary weigh-in and BP check. He was very thorough in reviewing my history (which he had in hand) and answered all my (many) questions. Spent a lot of time answering my "what if" questions.

I have received several compliments regarding how well my scar has healed after surgery. So far I'm cancer free but it's been less than a year. He really seems to listen and investigate all the concerns you bring up and allows you time to consider what he's saying. Only complaint I have is a quirky habit he has of just walking out of consultations without saying goodbye after your finished (thereby leaving some confusion regarding if the appointment is really over or not).
