Dr. Robert Howard Barr, DDS

I can't understand all the negative comments about Dr. Barr and his staff. I am a dental phobic and Dr. Barr is the only dentist that has ever made me feel comfortable enough to go to the dentist. His staff has been nothing but helpful to me and have filled my insurance correctly and given me appointments in a very timely manner. I would not hesitate to give this practice my highest recommendation.

I never experienced what I did today this the first dentist office ever had this problem with the two front desk clerks was very very rude with money wise and everything else but most of all Dr Robert Barr and the two nurses I had since I started going to this dentist was real respectful and nice but two front desk clerks is horrible ????

Front office ladies were snobby & rude. Their only interest was in how they were to be paid. They must receive checks from Care Credit as they tried to push their services on me & my wife. This was not my first visit with Dr Barr but it will be my last. Dr Barr is ok but he is not a very friendly person & his shots hurt terribly. He prefers not to use sedation of any kind, not even nitrous oxide. His assistant was not friendly either & offered no kindness or emotional support for a tedious procedure. Tallahassee offers too many dentists to continue being treated like this by any office staff. Hopefully I will find a dentist who at least acts like they might need my business & that of my wife & children. This office does not provide an atmosphere conducive to having a pleasant experience for my family.

Dr. Barr and his staff are very educated for all your oral hygiene needs. They inform you every step of the way of any and all work or procedures that may need to be done on your mouth. There are NO hidden costs and they are straight about pricing that insurance doesn’t cover. Even if you don’t have insurance, Dr. Barr’s office offers Club Barr. Which is an insurance/smaller payment for visits. The dentist shouldn’t be scary and Dr. Barr and staff sees that it isn’t. Very relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Dr. Barr and team!!

Good dentist and excellent staff.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Between my husband and I, we tried confirming our insurance with these people way too many times. On the phone weeks before the appointment, once again on the phone the day before AND on the day of before my appointment. When my husband first called he was told he would get a call back if our insurance was not accepted. We never heard a word. I was told everything was A okay when I called again - went in for my appointment and got everything done. AFTER the appointment was over they asked me for my insurance because it wasn't in the system - I told them I thought they had already ran it. They hadn't and slapped me with the bill, which was over 200$. Did absolutely nothing to help. Called my husband a liar. And will not respond to my complaint after a letter, phone call, and 2 emails. Do not send your business here. They care about nothing but making money.

I am highly satisfied with Dr. Barr, he is the best dentist I have ever been to. Thank you for your service for over 20 yrs.

When I first visited the office, I wasn't crazy about the girls behind the desk. They seemed rude and uninterested in providing a great experience, which made me uneasy about continuing my visit. I was, however, seen immediately and Dr. Barr was a night and day difference from his nurses. He was knowledgeable, personable, and made me feel extremely comfortable. He has a state of the art office and was able to break things down enough for me to understand what I needed and why. I never felt that he didn't have my best interests at heart. This is a dentist that my family will utilize and I will refer everyone to.

A wonderful dentist and staff'. I have several dentists in my life and Dr Barr is the best. He has been my dentist approx. 10 years.
