Dr. Robert L. Barrett, MD

I am sure Dr Barrett is well experienced; however, his social skills from the 1970's. Condescending. Impatient with questions. Acts as if he is superior. When I told him that I would need to check with my husband about the procedure, he asked why my husband was not with me at the appointment. When I responded that he was working, he asked me where and retorted that if this was so important I will bring him the next time and walked out with a smirk. He expected his nurse to smile and cover for him. I suspect Dr. Barrett did not like me questioning about the % my insurance would pay. I was only wanting clarification before proceeding to the suggested MRI that day, which I was unaware of until I got to the office. I was asked to sign a paper and then told it would be $1,200 strictly for MRI. Once I asked for more info on the billing, DR got up and left the room saying that his office staff spend way too much time on phone with insurance companies. Since talking to others, I hear United… Health Care can be difficult and I asssume Dr. Barrett had issues. HIs prerogative. Health care has change over the years. Doctors are not gods, they are professional with their patients, allieviating any concerns the patient may have.

Dr. Barrett and His staff are fabulous. I have been His patient for years and have referred many of my friends to Him. All my friends love Dr. Barrett and all of His staff, also.

I've had 2 varicose vein removals done. Both times, he made me feel completely at ease. He's not deadly serious like so many doctors and I appreciate that. I treat operations as cruel jokes myself so having a doctor make light of the situation helps me relax. He's extremely professional and he goes out of his way to let you know everything he's gonna do.
