Dr. Robert H Basile, DDS

Dr. Basile is a 1979 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He has been in private practice in McHenry County for over 28 years, and had taught restorative dentistry at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois.
In 1983 he joined and later assumed the practice of William Kohl, DDS. In 2006, the practice was moved to its present location.
Dr. Basile is dedicated to professional education: his memberships include the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the McHenry County Dental Society, where he had served on its Board of Directors. In 1997, he earned his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an organization dedicated to advanced education and training for general dentists. Fellowship inductees must fulfill 500 hours of continuing education and pass a comprehensive examination.
He is a member of the American Equilibration Society, …the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and president of  the Excellence Dental Study club.  He is an alumnus of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, and the L.D. Pankey Institute where he has participated in over 400 hours of post doctoral training.
Dr. Basile strives to provide superior comprehensive restorative care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. His area of special interest is occlusion (bite relationships),  and complex restorative and prosthetic care.  He encourages collaboration with our patients and our staff to create a relationship of understanding and trust.  This commitment to excellence will offer you a lifetime of optimal dental heath, comfort, and esthetics.
Dr. Basile and his wife Lynne have three children; AJ, Daniel, and Emily.  He is involved with many family activities including coaching youth hockey and soccer. Golf, gardening, hockey, and Italian cooking are among his leisure activies.
