Dr. Robert Todd Bechtel, MD

Dr Bechtel worked so well with my child. I don't think I ever seen a pediatrician have as much patience as this man. Took 3 visit before my child would let him check her eyes but he never gave up.

Excellent doctor

My husband saw him for about 5 months for a serious corneal abrasion, saying he's "never had one he couldn't treat". Had him try all kinds of drops, salves, etc. which further irritated his eye and finally agreed to put in a soft bandage contact lens, changing it about every 10 days. He always said "if you have an emergency, call the office and we'll get you in". At the beginning of August, my husband's eye was red, tearing, almost swollen shut and he was in severe pain. HIS OFFICE WOULD NOT GIVE AN APPOINTMENT because Bechtel was in surgery, despite there being 4 other doctors there. Called a doctor closer to home who saw him right away and my husband had an INFECTION under the soft bandage lens which led to a CORNEAL ULCER!! Horrible pain and more meds!!! Also, never told my husband he has severe dry eyes. New doctor put a lacrimal plug in to alleviate the dryness in the injured eye. Stick to kids and foreign countries - new doctor has done WONDERS!!!!

Dr. Betchel is a great kid's eye doctor. He has followed my daughter Daisy's eye problem since birth and kept an eye out on her twin as well. He is great with kids that he uses puppets and remote control animals to get their attention. He also takes time out and helps in other countries as well. He definetly cares about people.

He is wonderful. Was great with my son who is adhd and doesn't sit well.

Saw my child for an injury. Came in on a weekend to followup with him.
