Dr. Robert Williams Behrends, MD

Cannot be trusted, unprofessional in general. Money is first and patients are secondary.

I have been seeing Dr Behrends since I was 18 years old with severe panic attacks and high anxiety, he is the best psychiatrist ive ever seen and I have been to many other psychiatrists in a short time that I moved away from Dr Behrends.Thank God I went back to him because when I was away from him I had declined mentally and he worked patiently with me with me and if it weren't for him I would not be alive, he is the best Dr he gets to the point and gives the best advice advice, he is a certified MD and psychiatrist and certified to give psychotherapy he is an amazing person and now I am 44 years and been through alot if it weren't for him I wouldn't have made it out of the things that I go through and everyday I think about how much how much he has helped me overcome so much. I am truly grateful for this Dr..he deserves 10 stars. Some people may think he is mean but he OS not at all mean he is blunt and gets to the point of the issues we go through and if there is something causing… someone emotional pain and suffering he will give u the best advice to seperate yourself from that issue if u cant handle it. He is only trying to help keep our mental health safe. He wants the best for all his patients. He is professional and in point. Thank god for great Dr,s like him.

Listens well, insightful and dependable practice and demeanor

Dr. Behrends told me not to wean off my current andidepressant when he started me on a new one. I called him a few days later relaying intense withdrawal symptoms. He told me he advised me to wean off the old medication, not just stop it. I know it was his mistake because I've been on antidepressants since a teen and know how to follow directions when you make a switch - sometimes you wean off, sometimes you stop - I make sure I get it straight. My husband is disabled and a source of emotional pain for me because he is so ill. He told me that perhaps I should consider leaving him. That was my last visit with Dr. Behrends.

Is contradictory and jugemental rather than accurately perceiving and accepting of patients feelings. Seems biased -hard to talk to.

Very poor handling of patient needs. Seems to care more about collecting payments than the patient's needs. NOT recommended!!!!!!

This man is from professional and cannot be trusted at all.

He is a respectful, caring and patient doctor. He is not afraid to be upfront with you!

Pros: -Dr. Behrends returns his calls quickly-He works after his office staff leave to accomodate later appointments.Cons:-The woman working at the desk is rude and condescending.-Dr. Behrends listens well but ignores questions he does not want to answer.-He asks impertinent questions about situational details rather than asking about my feelings or reactions in the situation.

You have been so wonderful with us. Great to know we had such good care.
