Dr. Robert David Blasberg, MD

he is the best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. He diagnosed my problem immediately and cured it. He is brilliant. and he cares about his patients

Has no ability to communicate with patients. Schedules too many patients which gives him only a few minutes with each patient. Spends his time with patient talking to his technician. Refuses to answer questions or explain treatment options.

After our family has counted on Dr. Blasberg at Thomas Eye Group, and with great results in the past, for over 12 years, it is sad to have to note that now Thomas Eye Group has clearly become very commercial with assembly line speed. Eye check ups that used to be thorough, over the past three years now, have been reduced to a few minutes with the doctor -- with the result that you don't feel that you've really been checked except by the technician. We will not be returning.

dr. blasberg discovered my eye problem immediately. he explained why and what to do to correct problem.He is ver SMART.

Dr. Blasberg has the rare abilty to be highly educated and experienced but very conversational and personal as he interacts with his patients. When he brought up concerns, he did so in a way I felt I was talking with someone I'd known for a while more so than an "expert" or a professional. He had to explain a few things to me. To do so, he improvised with "props" -- things in plain sight within the exam room. It all made sense the way he approached each topic -- and me. So unusual to meet a physician who has talent, empathy and patience at the ready. Great experience. Great confidence going forward as Dr. Blasberg deals with my "ocular issues." Can't forget to praise the great team of people who helped me go through the exam process.

DR Blasberg is the most thorough eye DR i have ever seen. He detected my dry eyes immediately and prescribed a medicine that works great. Now I am feeling and seeing better

Rude and unwilling to listen to patient feedback to take an accurate history

I thought that I had cut my eyelid with my contact lense and that it was not healing. At one glance, he knew that I had eye lid cancer and he directed me that day to go see an eye lid specialist who would take care of the problem before it got out of control. Three weeks later, the bad cells have been removed and I have had plastic surgery to fix the area. No one can tell that I had eye surgery because Dr. Blasbery diagnosed the issue so quickly. Also, he did not push me to have Lasiks which everyone pushes. He was like, we don't know the long term effects yet and soon you are going to need reading glasses so...why do it. Great advice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Blasberg for over 18 years. He has seen me through many challanges with my eyes and is always on top of the situation and ready to make constructive informed decisions concerning treatment of mny eyes. He perofrmed a cateract removal and lens implant on me last year and it is an outstanding success. He is wonderful Dr and man. I recommend him without reservation.
