Dr. Robert Dale Blasier, MD

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to this doctor if you want a doctor to treat you like an actual person. (Especially if your child has a club/cleft foot) Go only if you want a condescending doctor who will talk down to you and treat you as if you are wasting his time. Try for the other doctors or go to Memphis.

Very short. Doesn't spend much time with patients or answer questions professionally in my opinion. Very closed minded. My son was born with clubfoot and he put him in boots and bar way too early.

Dr Blasier spends a few minutes with us each time and provides very little feedback about my son's condition and options for treatment. Said he didn't need a brace years ago and now he has a slipped vertebrae. I question his approach to being proactive as to conditions not worsening. His assistant was much more helpful than he was. I am finding a new doctor.

Strange bedside manner. I almost felt like I was being interrogated. He asked me ,in front of my 17yo daughter, which of my 3 kids was my favorite. Wanted to know their birth order. Asked my daughter what she wanted to do when she was done with school. She said she wanted to be a nanny and he said "why not just be a mom".

He provided the worst medical experience I've ever had. He looked at my son for 2 seconds and said "he needs to take the brace off", which is contradictory to every website and medical person I've talked to about healing from this kind of injury. He didn't care that his pain levels are still very high, didn't care what meds he was on, didn't care about trying to help him recover, didn't look at or mention his xrays. He didn't compare his knee to the other knee to see if there was swelling, as the nurse felt there was. He just stared at me rudely while i voiced my opinion that maybe he should keep the brace on while he's still trying to move around at school and then work on exercises to strengthen his leg in order to ween him off the brace. He didn't ask my son to bend his knee, didn't ask him to lift his leg up, didn't ask him to even take the brace off. When we asked him what kind of exercises he should do, he just stood there and bent his own knee and said, "bend the knee." When… he left, my son and I just stared at each other in amazement and said what a horrible experience and waste of time that was. As we left, I told 2 people in the office that I just had the worst experience in my life, and it didn't even phase them, it seemed like they were used to it. When I returned my son to school, other kids immediately relayed their horror stories with the same doctor. I would give less stars if i could.

HE IS AN EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN!
