When I was in my late 6o’s i started to have issues walking. At age 70 i had a laminectomy that left me in a lot of pain after the surgery. I waited 9 months to see improvement in my walking. I continued to get worse. I contacted Mayfield and Dr Bohinski After careful examination Dr Bohinski told me I needed ALIF fusion surgery and additional laminectomy work. Scared to death, of what i expected of post surgery pain levels based on the first surgery, i allowed Dr Bohinski to do surgery. Going into surgery i could not lift my left foot off the floor by more than an inch. Following surgery, the next day i walked with a walker 100 ft and was able to lift the left leg a foot off the floor. Most importantly., the pain level was very low. 3 weeks later i am walking, pain free, short distances and getting stronger every dat. I have a new lease on life. Patrick Allen

After my first surgery in 1995, scoliosis with full rods, failed I turned Dr. Bohinski. He removed the failed broken rods, replaced with more robust rods and a cage in the lumbar spine 18 hrs of surgery in 2007 turned my life around

Dr Bohinski fused 4 vertebrae, I woke up with no pain...maybe a 3, with no pain meds. After 2 months I am getting back to normal. I'll be golfing by St Patrick's Day! I can not say enough about Dr Bohinski. Some say he is arrogant, I like arrogant!

Go somewhere where they care about you. I think the doctor was nice but you deal with the staff more and they were rude. It all worked out for the better though- I found a office with a wonderful neurosurgeon and his staff is so nice. I won't pay for rude people- if you have a bad experience here don't give up- there are so many other doctors out there willing to help and have nice staff.

I will say Dr. B is a nice man. He told me prior to surgery that I would be just fine and pain free. He said I would be able golf and do about anything. I am now retired and saved my whole career to travel with my wife. That won 't be happening now. I have been in constant pain since the surgery 13 months ago.

This guy is amazing. Extremely intelligent, great bedside manner, very comforting. He successfully removed a schwannoma tumor from my lumbar spine and greatly improved the quality of my life. I cannot thank him enough.

Dr. Bohinski literally saved our daughter's life! We brought her to him after her previous neurosurgeon was unsuccessful in recognizing her condition. We have found Dr. Bohinski to be very caring and takes all the time you need to answer your questions. He is certainly one of the best, most intelligent neurosurgeons you'll find. He will not jump to surgery right away unless it is absolutely necessary, which we very much appreciate, but if you need it, he is one of the best! We can't thank him enough for what he has done for us!
