Dr. Robert Matthew Bramante, MD

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to the ER at Mercy Hospital at 2 AM on April 13, 2026 due to severe, debilitating chest pain not cardiac-related, and was later treated by Dr. Robert Matthew Bramante at approximately 10 AM on April 14, 2026. Once it was determined my heart was not the issue, I felt completely dismissed. Despite being in excruciating pain, he pushed for discharge and told me to follow up with a GI doctor for an endoscopy. When I refused to leave because of the severity of my pain, his demeanor changed and he became visibly annoyed. As he walked out, he stated, There is no way you are getting an emergency endoscopy. Shortly after, a GI doctor evaluated me, admitted me, and ensured I received appropriate care. However, Dr. Bramante had already documented incorrect information in my chart, information I had clearly explained to him. Because of this, I was placed in an unnecessary quarantine room, and multiple nurses and doctors expressed confusion, telling me… that what I was saying did not match my chart at all. It took repeated explanations before another physician reviewed everything, acknowledged the error, and transferred me to the proper unit for appropriate care. I am now undergoing further treatment and awaiting biopsy results for a potentially serious condition. This experience added unnecessary stress, confusion, and delay during an already frightening time. While I am grateful for the other medical professionals who stepped in and provided proper care, my experience with Dr. Bramante was deeply concerning, especially given his leadership role at Mercy Hospital.
