Dr. Robert Alan Breffeilh, MD

Dr. Breffeihl has been my doctor for about 5 years. He is an excellent doctor. He is professional, thorough, and has an excellent staff. I will miss him when he retires.

He is wonderful and the staff are great.

Very arrogant manner, doesn't like to explain what he is doing, preferring to tell you there is no point because you won't understand. Rude to staff. Have heard others complain of this too. Was referred by regular physician after some vision loss - no tests except a regular eye exam, which he then said I shouldn't use for prescription and it was very different from my regular prescription. Unprofessional, disorganized, not reassuring at all. Rather go out of town then see him again.

The doctor is not familiar with standard practices following cataract surgery. The doctor provided inaccurate advice on the limits following cataract surgery stating that a patient should not fly for the three days following surgery. This is contrary to standard practice which allows flight the day following surgery, a matter of importance to patients required By their job to fly. The doctor stated that the patient can watch television but not read after surgery. This is contrary to standard practice which allows reading after surgery and is a matter of importance to patients required to read for their job. The doctor was poor at communicating to set up appointments for surgery. One member of the doctors staff was impolite raising her voice when asked several days after the initial request if an appointment had been scheduled insisting that the patient should wait for her to call.
