Dr. Robert Scott Brenner, MD

Everyone is afforded the time they need with the doctor. Sometimes that means waiting, well worth the time to be in the care of a very good doctor. I've had many endocrinologist before Dr. Brenner by far has been the best. He and his support staff all are second to none in their care for you.

I had to wait quite a while for my appointment. Dr. Brenner did apologize, but I feel that a member of his staff could have told me what the delay was. I was impressed that he called me after my appointment to discuss the results of some blood work and the various treatment options. Extremely nice guy.

Dr. Brenner is a strictly by-the-numbers doctor as far as thyroid is concerned. He does not care if you feel better when your TSH is at a certain level as long as you are within range. He refuses to test T3 or T4, saying it is unnecessary- he can even get mildly belligerant if you ask. He has an antiquated view of medicine in my opinion. I've gone to him for Hypothyroidism for years out of convenience. I will be looking for a younger, more progressive doctor who cares more about someone's overall well-being than numbers on a paper. Keep in mind, I am speaking solely about thyroid issues, I cannot comment on his abilities with diabetic patients.
