Dr. Robert Blakely Bristow

I went to CityMD today. I‘ve had pregnancy symptoms for the last couple of weeks. I took a pregnancy test two weeks ago and it was positive and another one yesterday land it was negative. I have had 2 miscarriages. I requested a blood pregnancy test but was only give a urine test. It was negative. Dr. Bristow told me I wasn’t pregnant and that was good because the world was already over populated. He told me I was probably pre menopausal and should consider having a hysterectomy. I told him I’m 37. He stood by his opinion. I told him a baby is my husband’s dream. I don’t even think he heard that. The best information he gave me was to go to my OBGYN. I was in shock of this visit. Heartbroken by his delivery and saddened for any other woman who would be unfortunate enough to be in a situation like mine with this doctor. I will ask what doctors are on staff before I frequent this location again.

This was a visit to the ER because of extremely acute lower back pain for my husband. We had to wait a while but Dr. Bristow was right on the money with his diagnosis. He described the condition as a "pain management" issue, and prescribed the correct medication to improve his condition.

My husband went to the emergency room at Columbia Prebyterian. Dr. Bristow diagnosed him correctly after seeing him a total of 5 minures. One of the best doctors I have ever encountered. A compassionate and gifted doctor that handles a room full of emergency patients with dignity and grace. Columbia Presbyterian is lucky to have him!
