he is very likeable, ,concerned, also businesslike. I have had numerous visits thru the last 5 years. I would recommend him!

If your interested in being insulted, ridiculed and invited to see a really lame band play... Go see this guy! After having 4 brain surgeries, fibromyalgia, and neck and back injury from a car accident and lot of pain to deal with, this guy had nothing to offer me. He never even looked at my chart!!! Just asked in a very rude way why was I there??!?!? When I explained my conditions to him he said and why are you here?!?! Again!!! Big time loser this guy!! Save yourself the money and heartache.... Dr Brown is a joke!!!!

He answers all my questions. I trust him

Argumentative and focused mostly on losing his license to prescribe any medications. Basically said my pain was all in my head. Lack of empathy was surprising, even for a doctor.

Dr. Brown is the most arrogant and rude physician that I have ever seen. I walked out of my appointment. I would never recommend him for pain management. Very condescending and unprofessional. Definitely has a GOD complex

Arrogant, condescending, am looking for a new pain doc.no wonder anesthesiologist and pain guys are considered bottom feeders by physicians.

I typically take online reviews with a grain of salt. Most are full of emotion and exaggerations. I hate to admit it, but I agree with most of the people who are posting one-star reviews. Within the first minute of meeting Dr. Brown his personality raised red flags. In simple terms, he is kind of a jerk. I went through with the procedure because I think highly of the doctor who referred me to Dr. Brown. I didn't have a problem with Dr. Brown's work, but there's no reason to suffer through the exposure to his abrasive personality when there are many other qualified doctors out there who are nice.

I am so frustrated that I didn't read reviews on this doctor before I wasted time and money on this unbelievably rude and disrespectful person. He argued with me about what he believed we had talked about in previous appointments, never asked me what I felt I wanted or needed, barely made eye contact and has an enormous ego that gets in the way of any real connection he could choose to make with patients. He spent more time telling me about the band he plays in than talking to me about my chronic pain condition. Shockingly terrible doctor. I gave him 1 star ONLY because it wouldn't allow me to give him zero or negative stars!

If I had to describe Dr Brown in two words it would be: Conceited A**hole. He was rude, took personal phone calls during the visit and did not even try to help with my pain managment. The first thing he said when I walked in was "Why are your here?" in a very rude manner. I do not recommend him at all when there are many more pain managment specialists in the portland area that are willing to help.

Everything that you are reading about this doctor is true! He does not listen. He does not read your charts or Xrays. His bedside manner stinks. He does unnecessary treatments. If the first round of injections did not give you relief then two more painful rounds won't help! Seriously, do not spend your time or money on him. He ridiculed me relentlessly! Please, do not go to this doctor. I was sent to him in 2009 and after the fourth visit, I realized what a joke he was. I should have trusted my gut feeling the first visit but I was naive. I wished I could have read all of these ratings prior to my appointments, but they were not available...so, if you need medical help or procedures...please find another physician. The follow up score above is rated good because he will keep you coming back! The more visits, the more billing!
