My mom visited this doctor for the first time as a follow-up from her regular primary physician. She has hives and her doctor was baffled as to the cause. The office staff was wonderful. Very nice, efficient and courteous. My mom got her paperwork completed quickly. Wait time was about 40 minutes because they had an issue earlier that affected their schedule. But patients were being called in quickly so we did not mind the wait time.Dr. Bruckstein himself was very insensitive. This was my mom's first visit so he did not know her history. Despite her going in for treatment for her hives, he could not stop talking about her going on a diet and how she really needs to lose weight and that "she has a long way to go". She wasn't there for his opinion on her weight and last I checked he was a dermatologist and not a dietician. Had he bothered to ask my mom, she would have told him that she adopted a healthy lifestyle about 6 months ago and has since lost about 50 pounds. I understand that… perhaps he felt his advice was for the good for the patient but there is a way to say things like that. He seemed bothered by my mom's weight, particularly when he was examining her. It made her feel very uncomfortable. I suggest he get some sensitivity training because his attitude is the downfall of this office. It's unfortunate since his office staff is excellent and his office is in a great location.
