Dr. Robert Bruce Carlin, MD

While Dr. Carlin may be a competent dermatologist, he spends a lot of time pushing the Life Extension supplements he sells. This seems to me to be a conflict of interest on his part. He even goes so far as to order unneeded tests to support his sales pitch.

We (my husband and I) refer many friends and colleagues to Dr. Carlin. He cares about all of his patients and takes time to resarch whatever is needed to make the appropriate diagnosis and the most effective treatments. He is the most knowlegeable and compassionate doctor we've ever met! His staff is the best too! :)

Growing up in Orange County, living in the tropics for a decade and being an all around athlete, I experienced my share of sun damage and related skin problems. At age 59, I have been seen by at least a dozen dermatologists in the past 30 years due to adult acne, pre-cancerous lesions, sun damage, premature aging, rosescea, etc. In my last two appointments with Dr. Carlin he spent more time reviewing my case and my skin than all of my previous visits combined. I appreciate his knowledge, demeanor, approach, concern and care. His staff is equally as genuine and unique as he is. The information he presents goes far beyond anything I've ever received. They are a great team of uniquely professional individuals who treat the patient as such. Thank you Dr. Carlin and staff. I will be a patient there for as long as I live in OC.

Dr Carlin is by far the most thorough dedicated and competent physician I have ever seen who is very generous with his time making sure you understand and are involved in treatment options. I have referred both my wife and daughter

He is more comprehensive then my internist and concerned not just with skin care but overall health especially preventative care and keeps himself current with the latest medical research

I'd been looking for a good dermatologist for some time, I visited two others (with no result) before making an appointment with Dr. Carlin. My first appointment took 50 mins. where other doctors had just spent about 10 mins. For the first time I really felt a doctor cares and wants to do his best to find out what is wrong. He asked all types of questions and explaned everything and of course at the end he was able to diagnose the problem. He is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor I've ever been to.
