It is so hard to find a good psychiatrist. One that doesn’t make you feel rushed and genuinely wants to help. I have searched for a decade looking for one, and I finally found Dr. Castroll. What a wonderful Doctor and great man!

Dr. Castroll is a very secial doctor, he cares about his patients and treats them with respect. He helped me in so many ways and he never gave up on me even when some others did. I would not be here today if it was not for him I owe him my life, He made me whole again I love life because of him. My kids have a mother and my husband has a wife and I have all of them......Thank you Dr. Castroll

Out of the 5 doctors I had seen during my bout with mental illness, Dr. Castroll was the absolute least helpful. He is more so a person that would "put a bandage over a gaping wound" instead of treating it first. But the bandages in this case are the plethora of expensive medications that he -liberally- prescribes. Mental illness is very different, from let's say the flu. With the flu you could take a pill and feel better, and with mental illness, there is obviously more than that needed for proper treatment, as for example, coming to terms with past problems. He is friendly, but still, very impersonal. If you are the type of person intentionally seeking medication, I would recommend this doctor. If you are looking for treatment, there are plenty of real doctors that genuinely care about your well being out there that can\will result in an approach that could be better suited for you. This man is a very strange and peculiar person with odd ticks and habits, such as practically being a… nocturnal person and holding late night office hours. He is very fond of talking about Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin and Timothy Leary (if you don't know who he is, look him up on google, he's an important figure in the history of synthetic psychotropic drugs). I could never figure out why, but if I am looking for therapy, I would not want to talk about evil dictators and people that use LSD recreationally, I would have rather talked about understanding my issues, and he would have a tendency to ramble on without letting me interject or change the subject, it's more so like he enjoys hearing himself speak.I would advise against seeing Robert S. Castroll because there are more qualified people out there for your problems, and by qualified, I mean more than a degree, a qualification in understanding people, life, and social skills. He was a waste of my time and my money, and I am honestly very relieved that genuinely helpful doctors are more readily available than you could assume.

I have been a patient of Dr. Castroll over 20yrs, in my 20s i sufferd severe panic disorder which broght on depression. I thought it would never end and i was going to die. He is not a pill pusher. By now he nows me, before i do.I could not be alone,I could not hold a conversation,I thought it was the end of me.He help me 100%.I am now 40 yrs old, and a very stress life,I have a bad mother, I am feeling deprest again with panic.I spoke with is receptionist,she is wonderful,I am going early than expected to him,. but I feel safe knowing he will help.
