Dr. Robert Hamlet Catenaccio, MD

Abusive, power hungry man who is unethical and takes advantage of patients’ trust.

I saw Dr. Catenaccio on and off for over 15 yrs (from my 20s to my 30s). He maintained that as recent as 5 yrs ago that a pregnant woman should not be on any psychotropic medication. I believed him, I had an abortion at 12 weeks due to him telling me my child would be born with horrible neurological problems. Found out later that was false information. Thankfully, not seeing him anymore, now pregnant and on safe psych meds, but still scarred from all the years seeing him.

Dr. Catenaccio has helped me with many work through many things over the years. My life would not be the same without him.

This doctor is smart, kind, an excellent listener. He is an excellent psychopharmocologist. As a parent, I know my son receives the best care with Dr. Catenaccio.

In the session, Dr. Catenaccio is fine. He is personable and I believe gave an appropriate diagnosis. As for follow-up, he is very hard to reach, doesn't call you back promptly, doesn't do E-scripts and doesn't stay on top of my child's meds. I have had to remind him what she is taking and go to his house to pick up the Rx. Twice he took so long getting back to me, that I had to ask my child's pediatrician to please write an Rx so no doses would be missed.

He means well, but leaves a lot to be desired as far as knowledge is concerned. He just isn't particularly knowledgeable when it comes to diagnosing various cases. The psychologist, Dr. Stanley Friedland with whom he works (or worked) is a total waste of time -- he offers no structure or beneficial insight whatsoever to cases and issues at hand. Save your money!
