Dr. Robert David Chessin, MD

We are so grateful that we found Dr. Chessin over a decade ago, after moving to town and trying all sorts of different practices. He was recommended by my daughter's PT at school as the BEST pediatrician and he IS. (Her sons went to him) He listens carefully, is respectful, always treats me and the children wonderfully, and is caring and gives the right diagnostic treatments. He provides medication as he sees fit vs. throwing samples from reps at you, like other providers sometimes do. We love him!!! Sorry our kids are getting so old!!

Dr Chessin is a awesome doctor, he has a great reputation and am so glad I found him, he is phenonmenal with the kids. We first saw him by recommendation of another doctor in the practice because of concerns with PDD-NOS, from day one he was phenonmmenal, love, love him!

Rushed appt. Doesn't answer questions. Has an attitude. I diagnosed way before he did.

Dr. Chessin is extremely sensitive and caring for my childs needs. He listens attentively to what I or my child tells him and asks critical questions to arrive at an accurate assessment of my ADHD child who also has a learning disability. Dr. Chessin's reputation is excellent throughout the community.

My youngest child is about to start college, so we've graduated from pediatrics. However, I want to leave my comments for future patients, because Dr. Chessin is outstanding and I greatly appreciate his care of my children the past 25+ years. One of my sons was premature, and he and his brother both have neurological disorders, and Dr. Chessin guided me through all that. One time, during an emergency, he got on the phone and argued with an insurance company rep until the rep agreed to let my son go to the hospital Dr. Chessin thought was best. My children were never afraid of him, and he never talked down to them or me. We're all going to miss him.

Excellent doctor and would not think of my children going to another doctor. My family's oldest child is 30 years old and Dr. Chessin has been the family pediatrician for us since the birth of this first child. He has excellent bedside manner. He gives you the facts and he is not afraid to be open and honest with you. It is my opinion that he is one of the best in the State of Connecticut. I will however say that some of the ladies at the front desk could be a bit warmer and more pleasant. Claudia (receptionist)not very friendly and can be abrasive at times.

Dr Chessin takes the time to answer any questions about our children's health. He takes the time to research health and insurance questions. This means a lot to us. It means that he really cares about his patients. Thanks!!!!
