On February 26, 2008, Dr. Robert B. Colt joined Augusta Family Dentistry as full partner and practicing dentist. Dr. Colt moved from his practice in Denver, Colorado to join Dr. Paul Mitsch.
"I am thrilled to have this opportunity . . . to work beside such a skilled dentist, to live and work in Kansas and to become a part of Augusta Family Dentistry," expressed Dr. Colt.
"This was something that had been months in the making," stated Dr. Paul Mitsch. "It isn't as simple as packing his bags and moving. There are many things he has had to do in preparation for this exciting change."
Dr. Colt and Dr. Mitsch first started discussing the possibility of partnership in April 2007. The two attended many conferences together in dental academies where they first became acquainted.
"It has been an incredible opportunity - to work with an excellent dentist from whom I can learn so much more and to work with an experienced staff who are completely focused on …their patients. I have met many dentists and have seen many other dental practices that were impressive. However, I was most impressed with the staff, the state-of-the-art technology and training and the quality of care at Augusta Family Dentistry."
"Dr. Colt is a young, energetic dentist whose experience and knowledge are beyond his years. Because of his beliefs, his work ethic and his integrity, he was the perfect match for our practice," Dr. Mitsch said.
Dr. Colt, a native of Denver, Colorado, graduated in 2004 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Colt also received his Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Colorado in 2000. He is a legacy dentist as his father was a dentist and, at one time, the two shared a practice. In addition, Dr. Colt recently finished his residency at the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and is the youngest dentist in the world to have received his Fellowship from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
