Dr. Robert Alan Delpero, MD

I had to write a letter to this Doctor describing the overall behavior of treatmentI received and upon receiveing said letter instead of acknowledging my complaint of the treatment I received . He basically said to go elsewhere . I should have read the reviews before I went in. Ophtamology the practice it is extremely difficult to find a Doctor that actually cares! Dr Del Pero is no exception My first visit : examination of my eyes for cataracts that part was normal. Although after the examination was completed they were going to send me outside in the sun with my eyes still in full dilation. If I had not known to ask for eye protection and asked fort it they would have sent me out like that. The Doctor did come in after the examination asked me questions some that had nothing to do with the treatment of cataracts getting to personal. Then he just got up and left. Second Vist: they put me in a room with a monitor so I could see a video explaining cataract surgery the… benefits and also the adverse things that could happen after surgery Detached retina bleeding of the eye and so on I did get that ! Now, In the beginning of the video the narrator says I should have a questionnaire that I did not receive . This is what I am talking about, all about the practice not about the patient . Proceeding another examination for measurement of the eye for surgery and I payed for two more examinations for an overall diagnosis of the eye which was optional . After that the person starts a litany of information if I would have known I would have brought a tablet and a pen for questions. I asked if she could pause for questions she said I could ask after she finished WOW It is all routine for her. To me this is serious these are my eyes that are being treated. Last visit Before surgery : They have previously determined I need cataract surgery but none the less the assistant shines a lite in my eyes to determine if i could see he fingers DAH light in my eyes cataracts I would think after all the former examinations that would have been obvious. IN comes the Doctor he is pressed for time and his main objective is to bring home all of the adverse things that could happen !!! Nothing absolutely nothing we are going to do are best to treat your eyes nothing reassuring . Now the signing of the paper your aknkowlegment the you understand what your getting in to as far as the adverse affects. I sign. I do not receive a copy !! What is this telling US !!! I am at Bel Air market and I remember I di not get a copy I get in my truck and return for my copy . I hope any one who reads this understands this is a heads up RED FLAG !

The staff was rude and I know where they get it from. I heard Dr. Del Pero talk down to his staff and argue with a patient. He told his medical assistant that his 3 year old writes better than her.
