Dr Deutsch’s self righteous persona gives him tunnel vision, which does not allow him to think outside of the box. He’s missing two key components needed to be an effective diagnostician in healthcare. First, to be an active listener to allow him to arrive at the correct diagnosis. Second, he is a poor patient advocate and insulting. He does not recognize family members as a part of the healthcare team. Instead he speaks down to patients and family members in attempt to intimidate and close communication. I will definitely use another peds er in the future.

A bit of a jerk. Appears to make diagnoses and assumptions before speaking with patient. Conveys information in a condescending tone while bloviating about his own personal troubles. Nurses and attending staff appear to be afraid of him. Certainly not what I would expect from a peds department. Maybe he is better with littles.
