Dr. Robert C Dillard, DO

Dr. Robert Dillard is a native of Alabama where he attended the University of South Alabama before earning his medical doctorate from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
He pursued specialty training in surgical robotics and bariatrics at the Tower Health Reading Hospital minimally invasive surgical fellowship. During his time at Tower Health, he received extensive training in the comprehensive care of the obese patient population.
Dr. Dillard is board certified in General Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is certified in bariatric surgery and advanced upper endoscopy by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Additionally, he is certified in the use of robotic surgical devices for general and bariatric procedures by Intuitive Surgical as well as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. …Dillard’s mission is to provide the highest quality of care in the treatment of obesity as a chronic disease. He believes this involves a multidisciplinary team approach utilizing surgical means to produce long-term, effective weight loss. He is pleased to offer an array of surgical procedures including duodenal switch, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and revisional operations, each tailored to the patients’ specific needs. Additionally, he provides care for general and acute care surgery needs, offering minimally invasive and robotic approaches for both.
