Dr. Doekel is very patient-centered. He listens. He looks at lab tests but also takes patient symptoms into account. You're not just a lab value to him. He returns calls himself and he takes the whole patient into consideration.

Dr Doekel is the best thyroid doctor I have ever seen. He is very knowledgable, treats the person and not just according to test results, and personally returns calls to counsel you and give test results.Love the bow tie, too.

waited 4 months to get in and my chief complaint was thyroid - he knows nothing about thyroid and should not tout himself as a specialist in this field! I had my own labs and he said "I am open to your thyroid" and "I will have to think about your thyroid". Thats it.
