Dr. Robert A Dompkosky, DO

Came in for a sick visit and the staff was different. Was told their was a new Dr, ok fine it was common to see a PA. They asked for my insurance card, which seemed weird, then told me they don't accept it. They did a couple months ago. Staff didn't explain why. Had to go to the ER later because I couldn't get seen elsewhere all drs booked. Why wasn't a notice sent out to patients?

I was a patient of dr dompkosky up until today. Before today I have never had a problem with the dr himself or any of his staff. I went to my appointment this morning as I do every month. When I sat down I had noticed things in the office were not right at all staff I had never seen before the office was a complete mess. I was then called up to the desk and asked what kind of appointment that I had been there for. I was then told the dr was no longer practicing in this office that another dr had taken over and basically I could no longer be seen by the office. My issue us none of these patients were ever informed there was going to be any kind of change. I am on medication assisted therapy. I now have no medication and had to spend alot of money that I really didn't have to be seen by a new dr today. I find it hard to believe that a dr can just up and leave his practice without notifying any patients prior to the change. One of the most horrible experiences I've ever been through. Not… to mention the new staff were very ignorant, unhelpful, and seemed to have no answers. I will definitely be filing a formal complaint against this dr.

Doctor was great but i have waited between 1.5 and 4 hours to see him.

I agree with the statement of 2014 "Apparently patients are not his first priority, money is. " When he was my VA doctor he was rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful, hostile, flip, arrogant, inappropriate in his attitude and questions, inattentive, uncaring, cold, immature. He always went out of his way to keep me waiting as if to remind me of some subordinate position he saw me in. I cannot believe the good review here are legitimate. I repeatedly overheard him complain to his fellow workers about his work burden and compensation and about having to stay past 5pm! He permanently misplaced things I brought to him. I found his overall performance shocking, substandard and offensive. I cannot say enough negative about him as a practitioner and a person. Shallow, superficial. You get the idea I am sure.

Apparently patients are not his first priority, money is. Gives narcotics to patients he full out knows are in recovery, and I am not talking about someone just coming to him for narcotics, I am talking about long term patients who trusted him as a family physician. Don't be fooled by the previous reviews. Addiction to prescription drugs is at epidemic proportions in this country, just another doctor fueling the problem.

My family Doctor retired after seeing him for 30+ years .........I went to 2 Doctors in Mtop and both doctors did not impress me ........so I saw that Dr Dompkosky opened a new office in Mtop .........I called and made an appointment ........the ladies in the office are all very nice ........After my first appointment I transfered all my records to Dr. Dompkosky office ..........so I have seen the Doctor 4 times so far .........I'm impressed more and more after each appointment ...........

He's very professional, thorough, caring, compassionate, honest, and he has a good sense of humor. Probably one of the best Doctors in the area! I already had 2-3 appointments at his new practice in Mountain Top, route 309, it's very clean, organized, and the staff is courteous. Great Doctor, and a good person.

I was looking for a new doctor and saw the sign that Dr. Dompkosky had moved into a building in Mountain Top. I called and got an appt right away. The office is still being set up, but was nice. All I saw for staff was a young man who greeted me, gave me the paperwork and then did my blood pressure. I waited for the Dr. to come in, but I could hear tiny bits and pieces of him on the phone with a sick patient, so I couldn't really complain. He spent TONS of time with me, truly listened, asked lots of questions....had some great ideas. I am going to transfer my records and have my family do the same.

I deal with him through the VAMC. Although sometimes my appointments are rescheduled..he is a very good doc. Just talks to fast for this old person. But always have a good experience. He's honest.
