Dr. Robert Millan Dy, DO

Literally one of the worst doctors (if you call an osteopath a doctor) I’ve ever met. Dr Die has a huge attitude, looks down on patients despite his meager resume which he hides behind the huge chip on his shoulder. What a terrible bedside manner, with hand waving explanations and condescending tone which belie his utter lack of knowledge, judgement or empathy. Hard pass.

Reading through some on the other reviews, it makes me sad that some of these unappreciative people are trying to give Rob a bad review. He has dedicated his whole life to helping people. Being his patient for many years, I had the pleasure of getting to know him. He comes from a poor humble family, that all worked hard to get to where they are. So this nonsense about being a rich mean person is all lies. On contrary, he is very sympathetic to the less fortunate ones. Best doctor you can wish for. However, when patients show up not wanting treatment, and instead demanding pain killers because they are addicted t them, he will turn them down. he does not want to feed pills to people to just numb the pain. He wants to help them get healed and be healthy. This is probably why so many people leave him bad reviews. Very unfortunate. He is one of the top GI doctors in the nation, having performed thousands of complicated procedures. Show up on time, do as he asks, take his advice, and you… will get the best results anyone can ask for.

Anything GI related is hard to talk about and can be very embarrassing. Dr. Dy entered my appointment with a smile and some excellent jokes. He made me feel instantly comfortable even though I was there to discuss a not so comfortable/embarrassing topic. Dr. Dy had done extensive search into my history and knew more about me than I did medically. He offered advice and tests that no other doctor had ever offered. I will 100% be seeing Dr. Dy for my GI related problems from here on out!

Dr. Dy is a terrific physician! I was really, really nervous about my colonoscopy. He was very thorough and explained the whole process. All the endoscopy staff were wonderful and made me feel calm and comfortable. The whole process was wonderful. A few days after the procedure, he called and told me the biopsy results were ok. If you need a colonoscopy, this is the place to go!

I was feeling as though food was getting stuck in my throat. Dr Dy was very thorough in his assessment of my issue and explained in detail the possibilities of what it could be. Both he and his MA Oyuki were very helpful in my care and with follow up. My procedure went smoothly and his bedside manner was great. I would recommend him to anyone who needed a gastroenterologist!

I saw Dr. Dy and was very happy with both his bedside manner and knowledge of gastroenterology and Crohn’s disease. He had a good sense of humor which I personally appreciate, and am shocked to see reviews that his bedside manner is less than caring and professional. In 27yrs seeing gastro dr’s I would put him alongside top dr’s I’ve experienced over the years.

This Dr. Robert Dy at Straub, 888 S. King Street, Hon. HI 96813 is not a good doctor. He truly does not have good bedside manners. He is judgmental and very rude and look down at people who are not educated or rich like him. He thinks he is better than anyone!!! Whatever he is going to die like anybody else so he is not better! My experience with him is negative and I will not definitely refer him to anybody else. hE MAY HAVE THE SKILLS BUT NOT THE PEOPLE SKILLS WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THE HEALTH FIELD OF HELPING PEOPLE!!!

Dr. Day is very prejudice and unfair in how I was treated by him. He is uncaring and unempathetic. He thinks he is better than you because he is a doctor. Very arrogant. I would definitely not recommend him to anybody else

This doctor is more like business man. He just wants to make money from you. He only likes to do easy big money job. I paid extra $800 out of pocket for nothing!

I recently moved up to the area, and my PCP set my appointment up. Dr Dy was not very helpful. This is the first time I saw a Gastro Dr. I expected a better bed side manner.I have bad symptoms, and had no time to tell him.I almost think they do not have enough Physicians to help. He seemed nervous, and I did not have time to tell him my biggest problem.
