Dr. Robert Farrar, MD

Robert Farrar, MD, JD, FCLM, was most recently at Oakwood Healthcare System in Dearborn, Michigan. He was previously vice chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology, Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City, New Jersey. Farrar has also been on the anesthesiology staffs of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey; Kennedy Health System, Turnersville, New Jersey, Botsford Osteopathic General Hospital, Farmington Hills, Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital and Specialty Centers, Detroit Michigan, where he was a senior staff anesthesiologist. He was president and CEO of Total Quality Medical Consultants, LLC, of Franklin, Michigan. Farrar is in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, trans-esophageal echocardiography and medical quality. Farrar attained his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, Detroit, Michigan and his Medical Doctor degree at the Catholic University of the Sacred …Heart, Rome, Italy. He did a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia and critical care medicine at Loyola University of Chicago, Maywood, Illinois. Farrar did his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Newark, New Jersey and his internship in internal medicine at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. He holds a special diploma in Italian language and culture from the Italian University for Foreigners. Farrar achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry at Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey. He is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Federal Bar of the Eastern District of Michigan and the State Bar of Michigan. He was recently admitted as a Fellow to the American College of Legal Medicine. Farrar provided volunteer medical services at Centro Socorro De Lo Alto Hospital in Honduras, Central America.
