Dr. Robert Christian Foege, MD

I have an extremely rare disorder (I only have 10% the amount of intestine of a normal person) wherein I need Oxycodone to slow my intestinal transit speed to achieve absorption. Because Dr Foege refused to access my 21 year medical history from another Kaiser facility he didn’t believe me. Instead he diagnosed me as an opioid addict. As a result my gastroenterologist refuses to give me the appropriate medication for my illness. This caused me to develop irreparable damage to my heart. Dr Foege refuses to change his diagnosis so every day I am at risk. I would not recommend this doctor. I think his arrogance is dangerous.

Did not listen, changed my son's diagnosis, did not offer any type of practical help, but the very worst of it was that he called my son "a creep". He said he was "creepy" and that he (the doctor) was "really creeped out right now". I was in the room the whole time, there was nothing "creepy" going on. My son was devastated, cried for days after that. I filed a complaint. Nothing was done.

Dr. Foege doesn't really listen. He acted like I was lying about being in pain. He's an odd sort. Not sure why he chose a profession in healing.

Initially appears thoughtful and soft spoken. However he has poor listening skills and appears to override other doctors diagnoses with an "I know better" attitude. He appears to speak outside of his area of expertise and training, imposing dated pseudo-psychological ideas that he should be embarrassed by, if it werenâ??t for his lack of insight and naivety.

He contradicts and belittles doctors with way more experience and expertise. I saw him several times and and he's creepy, arrogant and tactless. Other people in his medical field seem afraid to speak ill of him since somehow he has risen in the Kaiser ranks. I even know a patient that Dr. Fouge changed their diagnosis in their medical charts because he didn't think they appeared to have that disease. He's a glorified anesthesiologist not a geneticist!

Dr. was a little odd, soft spoken, not clear on answering my questions, not an easy doctor to communicate with.
