Dr. Robert Cole Garrett, MD

Dr. Garrett did a thoracotomy, he told me he would cut me half way open, did not tell me about all the pain associated with the surgery. He didn't tell me they would be pulling my ribs back in the process to get to the fatty tissue on my Lung. His staff told me he did one everyday. (Lie).. Dr. Garett said I would be in hospital 4-5 days, I was in there 8 days (don't know why). Only remember dr. seeing me once in hospital.& he was across the room. My family said surgery took what seemed like 20 minutes only. Dr made every one come to him instead of him coming to them in waiting room. Family thought I was Dead! I seen dr. a month after my surgery at which time he released me..Dr. did not explain any thing about the effect of surgery before or after.. Another dr. told me he should of sent me to rehab after surgery. I now have nerve pain from this surgery after all these years.

I could not have wanted a better surgeon or better post-op care.

I had an aortic stenosis so he preformed open heart surgery to replace with a pig valve. I was very confident in his skills and his reputation for leaving small scars appears to be true. It's been just 2 weeks but I am healing very nicely.

Dr. Garrett is a very kind, humble man who is an amazingly competent surgeon. He performed open heart surgery on me, removed an aneurism and also did a triple bypass. I have been improving steadily ever since. I could not recommend anyone more highly.
