Dr. Robert Lee Gear III, DO

He was my doctor on a couple of visits to the emergency room. I requested him in one occasion as I felt that he was best suited to be my doctor. He listens and explains things in a way that made sense. Sad to see he is gone.

Really odd, uncomfortable with interaction, strange bedside manner~ irrelevant chatter made me uncomfortable. Appeared important that he demonstrate he’s important. Socially odd~ unsettling as a treating physician. Did not provide relevant medical needed~But included a lot of disjointed strange metaphors. ?idk if he has social issues or is just really strange.

Uncomfortably strange, poor bedside manner. Left with the impression it is really important, he is perceived as really important? He had difficulty focusing on the medical task at hand, & kept veering to irrelevant personal chatter. I was personally uncomfortable, & the chatter was weird & disconnected. Unimpressed & lack info to gauge his medical ability~ he did not demonstrate any. Very weird metaphors & demeanor. Uncomfortable all around.

My husband was referred to the ER for an MRI and a Sonogram. Dr. Gear was not his doctor but he was in charge of the ER and kept Joe from getting a Sonogram until late at night. We finally left the ER at 10 pm having waited 6 hours to finally getting the Sonogram.

Mr Gear was my caregiver at the ED in Homer, AK. I wanted to ask for someone else. I made the mistake of sharing my history on my cell phone health file. I take an antidepressant. In his history he referred to my psychiatric disorder. I was there being treated for a scalp laceration. He was impersonal, rude and very rough. His bedside approach was terrible.

I SAW THIS DR A LONG TIME AGO. IF MORE DR WAS LIKE HIM WE WOULD HAVE BETTER HEALTHCARE PROVIDER THAT IS OBTAIN THE REAL RESULTS.

I went to LA PAZ with a friend of mine, AND IT SUCKD THE WAIT TIME, THE SERVCE GIVEN N EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN EVEN THE DR. WAS HORRIBLE!! JUST SUCKD N THEN HAD US WAIT AROUND FOR EFFNG EVER( iI doubt theser ce there wouldve been any better!!!)..AND my friend is a U.S. VETERAN..Its hard to get good service anymore these days. And its a shame because they are not any better then who I am..Anyhow DO NOT think well be returning to that hospital..I HATE HOSPITALS ANYWAYS. Everybdy should be treated equally especially patients..

The doctor was wonderful and made every effort to help me get better.
