Im a 21 year old male and I came in with swollen lymphnodes in my neck hoping to get some answers. He assured me its a common problom and will go away in a month or so if it doesn't come back. I returned after a month and he explained how it must be a viral infection. I was concerned it may be hodgkins or cancer. I told him about my nightsweats and itching he still didnt think much of it. He said I was too young and it was highly unlikely I had any kind of cancer and I need not be concerned. I came back for one more checkup with the same explination. Happens all the time nothing to worry about. I finnally got a second opinion from an ent. He told me right off the bat it is most likely lymphoma and I need a scan and biopsy. Results showed it was stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma. HOW CAN A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL IGNORE THESE OBVIOUS SIGNS OF A SERIOUS PROBLOM?
