Dr. Robert E Going, MD

Today I had a major tooth removed. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff. The staff is friendly, efficient and caring. I had an IV given to me by Nicole that was excellent, all I felt was a slight pressure and no needle stick. I was terrified to have this procedure and from this experience I will never have another removal except by them. There should be ten stars to rate them and their service.

I will not be returning back to Roberts Family dentist office! From the beginning of me scheduling my appointment over the phone I dealt with rudeness. After making my appointment I did not want to go but I needed a dentist so I went ahead to my appointment. When I got to my appointment and checked in at the front desk the lady had a very nasty attitude she acted like she did not want to be there. When I was brought back I was very pleased and surprised that I had a very kind Hygienist her name was Wendy And her Assistant Ravin. I hated I had that bad experience before meeting them because I was uncomfortable but Wendy and Ravin both apologized for the front staff and gave me great care. After getting my teeth cleaned I was met with someone who explained my bill and the information she gave me was not correct I made a payment and was told that was all I needed to pay and now I keep receiving a bill from them saying I have a balance.And not only that I had a root canal done and they… took up my whole insurance for the year and I still have a balance. I do not recommend this place it overpriced unprofessional all the ladies at the front are RUDE AND NASTY!

To say my experience with Dr. Going was frustrating would be an understatement. After first surgery for tooth implant which included bone graft (came out of Anesthesia early on first surgery) infection set in, went back in and saw Dr. Hall who sent me on my way without antibiotic..infection got worse..exact same thing happened after second surgery which included sinus lift. Needless to say after several rounds of antibiotics site and sinuses were infected and bone couldn't hold implant due to infection. No aftercare instructions were given after taking implant out follow up was in two weeks...I opted to go to an ENT that week who gave me MORE antibiotics and steroids which finally cleared everything up. I would not even entertain the thought of going back..after investing ALOT of money for "crapshoot" procedures.

I am middle age and had never had my wisdom teeth out until recently. They were so deeply impacted that multiple oral surgeons over the years had told me they recommended against it out of concern of permanent nerve damage. After the lower two teeth moved some, they began to be irritated at different times. I had the first one removed by Dr. Going about 3 years ago and all went well. The second one was done three weeks ago. I awakened during the procedure and apparently became combative because of the pain. I then experienced a dry socket and have been in miserable pain ever since. I am physically exhausted from the pain and have difficulty focusing on my work. I called Dr. Going's office and asked to be seen. I was told by an assistant, "You don't look like you're in pain." What an insult!! Fortunately, it does not appear that I have nerve damage but they can't tell me what is causing the pain nor are they treating me for it. Three weeks after surgery I am taking 3-4 Advil… every 3-4 hours and still have discomfort. That isn't healthy. I can't say if the issues are caused by Dr. Going but I hope the pain eases soon. They don't seem to care!

I had the total opposite experience with Dr. Going than the other reviewer whose son had anesthesia awareness. I was traumatized by the same thing at the hands of Dr. Fulton Lewis III. I explained what had happened to Dr. Going (and his staff) and told him that I was terrified that it might happen again. He managed to calm me down and assured me everything would be fine. He kept his promise, and I am very thankful. I chose him again when I had to have all my remaining teeth pulled for dentures, and, again, had no problems whatsoever.

Great Doctor and the staff is second to none. Excellent experience!

My experience with Dr. Going has been life changing. He restored my mouth from extensive damage caused by a previous dentist through gross negligence. His skills are top flight and this is no exaggeration because as a highly accomplished maxillofacial surgeon he has the ability to reconstruct a jawbone. After two corrective surgeries I did not suffer with pain and I got my smile back. I highly recommend you consult with him if you need top quality care without compromise.

Dr. Going decided to extract a tooth that I have no problems with and I have had the worst pain in my life for several months now. I have had to go back for an additional surgery and have been back to the office 13 times and missed 1 month of work due to pain and swelling. I called to make an appointment because I still (after months) can't eat solid food and have to take Motrin every day for the pain (and that doesn't really work). And now they refuse to see me and say that they can't help me. Terribly unprofessional and frustrating. This has ruined my life. If you need an Oral Surgeon, DO NOT choose Dr. Robert Going.

I was referred to Dr. Going from my dentist to get 2 wisdom teeth taken out as they were close to he nerves. I met him in the Buckhead office for a consultation to extract my wisdom teeth the very next day! I was so fortunate to having the surgery scheduled the next day in the Conyers office as I was in soo much pain. The procedure was pleasant as I was put to sleep. Before the procedure, Dr. Going told me to talk to the nurse about what I was studying in school, then Bam! I hear "Alex". I woke up with in a flash with the procedure over. That night of the procedure, I received a missed call from an unknown number and a voicemail. but I couldn't answer the phone as my mouth was watering. When I listened to the voicemail, it was Dr. Going. He told me the procedure went great and for me to put tea bags in my mouth to control the bleeding. I NEVER had a doctor call to check up on me especially after hours! I had this procedure done in 2011 and I am just getting to writing a review. I… forgot his name until I was cleaning out my cabinet and saw it on a pill bottle. Thanks Dr. Going!

My son recently had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Going at his Atlanta/Buckhead location. He was anxious about the procedure, as many of his friends had told him that he was going to be miserable and in pain for days. Dr. Going and his staff were very friendly and explained every step of the procedure, making sure we understood everything that was going to happen. I was impressed at the knowledge and skills of the staff, as they prepped him for the procedure. I was also comforted by the way he was monitored the entire time, as if he was in a hospital room. After care was easy to understand, and they sent us home with very clear instructions. His prescriptions were ready and waiting at our pharmacy and I was able to pick them up on the way home. My son said that he never felt any pain until later that evening, and that even then it was minimal. Dr. Going called that evening to check on my son, and went over a few extra tips to reduce swelling. I would highly recommend Dr.… Going and Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Centers.
