Do not undergo colon surgery until you read this. This doctor is the BEST of the BEST! He is also very nice with a great personality and easy to talk to. He really cares about his patients. Dr. Goldberg is very experienced in the new EMR technology to remove large and difficult polyps. In fact, he told me that many gastroenterologists refer their difficult cases to him. I had a huge polyp in my colon that was a 60mm mass of malignant appearance found in the proximal descending colon. The multiple opinions from different gastroenterologists was that I had to have surgery because it was just way too big to remove. Multiple gastroenterologists said due to the giant size they could not remove it. I did NOT want surgery to cut out part of my colon if by some miracle, it was not cancerous. The initial biopsy that was done during my first colonoscopy with another doctor, did not show cancer. However, almost all of the doctors I saw said it most likely was cancerous on the inside. … It was an extremely large, villous adenoma, which is usually cancerous especially when it was that large. Even Dr. Goldberg initially thought it was cancer with the way it was attached. I saw several gastroenterologists desperate for one that would say they could remove it. It is unbelievable that not one of them told me about EMR technology. Very few doctors practice it or know about it. After a lot of research online, I found Dr. Goldberg who is a doctor that specializes in difficult to remove polyps and EMR. When Dr. Goldberg did the first colonoscopy and the biopsy lab results did not show cancer, he agreed to schedule me for multiple visits to remove parts of it each time. Now it is 3 years later. My last colonoscopy was 10 months ago. All of the polyp is gone. There was no cancer, and I did not have to have part of my colon cut out due to this wonderful doctor! I hope this review helps someone in my similar situation. DO NOT agree to get part of your colon cut out until you see this doctor!!

I have had the pleasure of being under Dr. Goldberg’s care since I was first referred to him in 1992 for treatment of achalasia. He monitored my condition for many years via surveillance endoscopy and periodic dilations. In 2015 he found a squamous cancer which required me to undergo an esophagectomy. This procedure resulted in the development of an anastomotic stricture at the surgery site which caused dysphagia. Dr. Goldberg was tenacious in working to resolve my problem. I appreciated the fact that he took a personal interest in my situation and made himself available to treat me on short notice. I recommend this fine doctor and wonderful human being without reservation.

I cant say enough about Dr. Goldberg and I cannot thank him enough for all that he has done for me. I've been seeing him for many years and I trust him wholeheartedly with my health. He is a very personable doctor who genuinely cares for his patients. He truly takes the time to get to know you and will always go the extra mile. He would still be my doctor if i did not move to another state but you wont be disappointed if you entrust him with your care. He is simply the best of the best and no other compares.

i went to dr. goldberg after i had a colonoscopy with another dr. who said i needed part of my colon removed. I did not have cancer, but the polyp was in a place where it was difficult to reach. and very large. The previous dr. said that it was dangerous for him to try to take it out and he would need a surgeon standing by. He tried to convince me to have surgery because It was such a delicate procedure. I went to dr. goldberg for a second opinion and he said that he had done this procedure many times ((called an EMR) colonoscopy and i did not need part of my colon removed......It took 1 1/2 hours and he got the entire polyp out. I have had no side affects nor problems . Without a doubt Dr. Goldberg saved my colon.
