Dr. Robert Clemans Goodbar, MD

Dr. Goodbar has been my children’s pediatrician for more than ten years. He is very thorough and takes his time during well check ups as well as sick visits. On several occasions he has called days after an appointment to check on one of my children. He has my trust and I would recommend him to anyone!

We've visited Dr. Goodbar three times with our 18 month old son and each time we've left the office frustrated and upset. Dr. Goodbar does not seem concerned with gathering details so he can make an accurate diagnosis. His bed side manner is very poor with small children. He doesn't talk to our son at all and insists that he sit on the table for the exam. Every other doctor we've seen in this practice will examine our son while he sits in our lap if at all possible, especially if he's not feeling well. During our most recent visit, Dr. Goodbar refused to look up our son's patient charts in the computer because he said the nurse has already logged out of the computer system. He continually asked us for information about past diagnosis and medications, and when we could not remember we asked him to look the information up. He refused to get assistance logging into the computer. After three visits, our opinion of this doctor is that he acts in a wreckless manner and does not… possess the social skills to care for small children in a comforting way. If at all possible, we will avoid this doctor in the future.
