Dr. Robert Edward Halligan, MD

This physician is always in a bad mood , very irritated and yells screams at staff very unprofessional! A nightmare to work with his conduct is the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen in all my years of practice!! No physicians , nurses, or even patients want to work with him !! ??

I was treated by this doctor several times. He was extremely lazy regarding trying to figure out why I was chronically ill. Another dr at his practice said that Dr Halligan shouldn't have been treating me to begin with, since Dr Halligans actual specialty is cardiology. I was sick for several months unnecessarily due to this. It took several months of complaining about my symptoms just to get basic blood work done. This dr destroyed several months of my life.

Should be avoided. At a different care facility, this man caused me to have an anxiety attack and prior abuse flashbacks.

Patients beware, this guy is the worst example of a medical professional. Why or how this guy has any patients is a serious concern. This guy treats you like you are a waste of his time. He doesn't care to hear about your symptoms.

Couldn't wait to write this review of this doctor. My husband was sent to this guy though the Phoenix VA for a heart stent 4 months out of bypass surgery (Halligan did not do the bypass surgery ) and still having severe chest pain and shortness of breath. He had several blockages, one in a newly bypassed artery (how that happens I don't know.) Halligan said he was going to do one stent knowing there was a blockage in the newly bypassed graft but decided to stent a different one. He still continued to have pain in the hospital that very night. When Halligan talked to him before he released him from the hospital he was very short, did not explain and acted like he was too busy or put out that he even had to answer a few questions. He didn't take the time to explain just said as he walked out of the room see me next week. The next week we went to our apt and the guy was no where to be found so we waited and waited until he was tracked down and then he again acted like we were… putting him out, we insisted on some answers so he told us that putting a stent in a by passed artery was very, very risky. Asking if there was another option he said under his breath get a heart transplant, then asked him how old my husband was, when he said 65 the mumbled under his breath "well your on the short end of that". We got and other opinion and went to the Arizona Heart Institute and found a very good exstremly educated doctor, who said it would be no problem to stent the bypass and just looked at us with a very puzzled look on his face when we told him, that the other doctor told him the stent would be very very dangerous or have a heart transplant. Of course we went with the AZ Heart inst doc and in 40 minutes the stent was place and he got immediate relief and no more chest pain. Quite a difference from getting a heart transplant to a 40 minute procedure. My advice stay way from this guy his bedside manner is terrible, he seems to feel that he can't be questioned and you can't get a straight answer out of this guy. He needs to go back to school and take a course on how to treat patients with respect and compassion. If you have a heart problem, go to the AZ Heart Institute a wonderful place.

I can't believe I am the first person to review this so-called Medical Professional. My wife who voluntarily went to a detox facility to get off prescribed opiates and was admitted by this this cold, heartless, non-caring poor excuse for a human being. He treated her as if she was a chronic drug abusing crackhead. He never even looked her in the eye, treated her like a piece of meat. Maybe he is used to admitting chronic and repeat drug abusers but even they deserve respect. This guy is a piece of work! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
